About Us
The 2nd Genesis Foundation is a beacon of hope and support for underserved communities. Our organization was founded by Dr. Cal E. Spinks, an esteemed Counselor Educator and Licensed Professional Counselor, who brings over three decades of expertise and a deep commitment to mental health advocacy. Dr. Spinks is renowned for his dynamic approach to education, his extensive research in substance use and co-occurring disorders, and his passionate advocacy for multicultural counseling. Our team is composed of dedicated professionals, many of whom have lived experience with the challenges faced by our target populations. This unique perspective drives our empathy, understanding, and the development of effective programs tailored to meet the needs of those we serve.
